Today Avery and I had a discussion about grandparents and how you become one.
The following is our dialog:
Avery: ‘So, have you ever met anyone without a grandma?”
Me: “No, honey everyone has a grandma. Because everyone has to have a mother, therefore, everyone has a grandma.”
Avery: “Hmm, How would I be a grandma?”
Me: ” Your kids would have to have babies.”
Avery: ” Well, I am not sure I am going to have babies.”
Me: ” You don’t want to have kids?”
Avery: “Oh, I want to have kids, just not babies. Babies are a lot of work and toddlers are not as much work. So, I am just going to adopt a toddler and if I am successful with that maybe I will adopt a baby next time.”
Yes, this seriously was our lunch conversation.
