Well, having time off from work is a wonderful thing... but your mind does start to lose some of it's sharpness as well as basic knowledge of what day it is. Eric and my dad have been really grinding away. The plumbing inspector signed our building permit 2 days ago... so that was really great news. It meant that we could pour the floor and continue construction. The goal by the end of the day is to have the walls up around the perimeter of the laundry room...and the plumbing done... so that we can start moving stuff into that room in order to work on the other areas. (considering the laundry room and pantry storage currently resides in what will be the playroom.)
Eric is definitely feeling the burn of his daily work out. He is sore and tired pretty much every night now. As for me... I am a dinner, coffee/water and dishes queen.... in between my numerous trips to Home Depot and my local Ace Hardware, which allow the guys to keep working. I am also doing things to help the move along... like getting address change information for Eric and keeping all of our purchases and changes in order for the basement project. We have a lot of work with that move ahead of us... good thing I moved 3 times in 18 months... I have a system down pat.. although I am still not looking forward to it...
We are definitely making great progress with the basement though.. last night we bought paint for the laundry room.... very exciting... the floor will be blue with sherberty orange walls.... bright and cheery for a relatively finished laundry room... I will have to get crackin' on the paint colors for the rest of the rooms.... and the upstairs bathroom as well... that will be completed as soon as we finish the basement and our room will be painted when my bedroom furniture moves down there and before his moves in... and then finally then.. we will have a complete house! All by March 17th! Can you imagine!
Tonight is our break night... we are going to get massages and relax.... tomorrow we get kids back, (Eric for the weekend and me for the week) so we will have a few days to rest and collect ourselves before we head back to a normal work week and become weekend warriors....
