Well, yesterday was a great day! By the end of the day all the below grade plumbing was finished and the walls began to take shape! It was really beginning to become a basement! Then, today came.... Eric got ahold of the plumbing inspector first thing... which we were very excited about.... (with the exception of her confusion about him.. she first thought he was a contractor trying to rip a homeowner off by doing the plumbing himself rather than hiring a plumber..he had given her his number and my number on her voicemail... when he gave her my number he named me as the home owner.. which is true.. but so is he.... so she misunderstood and thought he was a scamming contractor and was pretty rude to him at first.) Once that misunderstanding was cleared up it seemed all would be well... until she arrived.... Then she had plenty for him to fix as you can see by the pictures.... For me it meant another trip to Home Depot and a plumbing supply to gather up all the extra needed pieces... He is now downstairs trying to finish that area up so that tomorrow we can get an early start on completing the walls. After receving all the drywall today we are both a little anxious to see that installed. Note... we hired the drywall to be delivered and more specifically to the basement... let me tell you ... worth every penny... the guys that delivered it were completely wet with sweat by the time they left here.... I felt so bad for them... but at least itt was a nice day today! That is all for tonight!
Oh and the window photo's are of the completed window.. I knew they were on my computer somewhere... it just took me a while to find them.... this was completed about a month ago... but I just wanted to share what it looks like finished... it is amazing the amount of light you get with that one window.... Just imagine what a nice room it will be for all of you out of towners to stay in when completed! And you will have your own bathroom with a heated tile floor to boot! We are now taking reservations! :) ha ha...
